How's New Theme?

meh

What does "meh" mean?

re: meh

Usually it means like: "I don't know" or "I don't care" or "whatever" or "<shrugs>" ...something like that. In this case it probably means: I'm not impressed or it don't matter or it's okay.

re: Theme

I like it. Maybe a tad to simplistic/clean - but it loads fast. On a slightly different topic - who's Jose Rangel and why does he get the footer on every page?

re: jose

Cuz he made the penguin logo and header background for me that I've been using for ..how many years? He was a great graphic artist, made lots of wallpapers and stuff and posted them on kde-look.org, but then he just disappeared one day. poof...

you're always logged in, you could try one of the other themes listed on your account settings page if this one is too simplistic for your tastes. The one I had up this morning was kinda okay too, but I really like the clean look of this one for default I think.

re: new theme

The new theme should be called "whitefungus" since it seems to grow on ya.

Only "thing" that really bugs me is the difference between a "new link" and a "visited link".

For me (and my middle aged eyes) the difference between dark blue and black is very hard to tell apart.

re: visited links

Is that any better for ya Skip?

re: links

Yes - thanks for the quick theme mod work.

//unless you're just yanking my chain and didn't make any changes - but want me to THINK you made changes - so now I'm confused am I really seeing a change or should I just think I'm seeing a change. - it's budget prep month here so my minds firmly mired in bean counting muck.

re: links

lolol naw, I lightened the links and darkened the visited so they'd contrast against each other little more.

re: visited

Can you tell the difference now? Big Grin

I couldn't wait for you to come back to see it. Tongue

But I'll fudge around with em see if I can come up with something.

Your theme?

If anyone is missing a theme they used to use now, please let me know and I'll try to get it reinstalled. Thanks.

Edubuntu Vs UberStudent: Return To College With The Best Linux Distro

Importantly, there are a handful of programs that are on Edubuntu that UberStudent doesn’t have, such as KAlgebra, Kazium, KGeography, and Marble. Instead, UberStudent has a smaller collection of applications but it does include some useful items when it comes to writing papers that Edubuntu does not have. So ultimately, Edubuntu includes more programs that are information-heavy, while UberStudent includes more tools that can aid students in their studies but doesn’t directly give them any sort of information. Zotac Nvidia Jetson TK1 review

The Jetson TK1, Nvidia’s first development board to be marketed at the general public, has taken a circuitous route to our shores. Unveiled at the company’s Graphics Technology Conference earlier this year, the board launched in the US at a headline-grabbing price of $192 but its international release was hampered by export regulations. Zotac, already an Nvidia partner for its graphics hardware, volunteered to sort things out and has partnered with Maplin to bring the board to the UK. In doing so, however, the price has become a little muddled. $192 – a clever dollar per GPU core – has become £199.99. Compared to Maplin’s other single-board computer, the sub-£30 Raspberry Pi, it’s a high-end item that could find itself priced out of the reach of the company’s usual customers. Read more
