As I am not a user of Ubuntu (although I was in times of 4.10 and 5.04), I don't care that much of it, however I feel in a special mood today, so I'll made up a list of...

The Advantages of Ubuntu — from a non-user point of view:

* When a Ubuntu user complains about some problem, you can proudly say: "Well, my Debian box is much more stable."

* With such an important community, new flamewar perspectives exist: "Ubuntu versus ".

Btrfs RAID Benchmarks With The Linux 4.4 Kernel On Samsung 850 SSDs

As it's been a while since last running any Btrfs RAID SSD benchmarks on Phoronix, with the Linux 4.4-rc2 kernel I tested the latest RAID0 and RAID1 performance on two Samsung 850 EVO SSDs. The RAID0 and RAID1 performance with the two SSDs was also compared to the standalone Btrfs file-system performance on a single SSD. Additionally, when in the RAID1 mode I also did a few extra runs when testing various Btrfs mount options. Read more
