KDE enthusiasts to ponder next-gen Linux desktop
More than 200 members of the KDE community, industry partners, and interested users will be gathering next week for aKademy 2006 at the Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland to work on the next-generation desktop, KDE 4, and desktop standards.
he aKademy conference will be held Saturday, Sept. 23, through Saturday, Sept. 30.
The KDE Contributors Conference will be held concurrently on Sept. 23 and Sept. 24. The conference will feature tracks on cross-desktop development, KDE 4 planning, programming, and community building, as well as an Asia track aimed at helping build bridges to Asian communities, the project said.
