That announcement talks of Plasma Mobile's advantages of freedom, user-friendliness, privacy, and customization and personalization. It also mentions that while native apps will be written using Qt5, it will also support GTK apps, Android apps, Ubuntu apps, and applications from other mobile ecosystems.
