Time For New CEO At Novell, Says Analyst
After a recent pullback in Novell shares and meetings with company management, Banc of America Securities analyst Kirk Materne suggested that the time is right for a new chief executive officer.
In a report issued Wednesday, the analyst cited three issues that "plague" Novell shares: a misaligned cost structure, sagging management credibility and ineffective capital deployment.
Materne said he thinks the time is ripe to "consider accelerating the timetable" to promote current president Ron Hovsepian to CEO.
