GOG Treat Linux Gamers To More Star Wars, Star Wars: Rebel Assault 1 + 2 Now Available
GOG are adding more Linux games to their collections, and this time we have been graced with Star Wars: Rebel Assault 1 + 2.
As a Star Wars fan it's great to be able to play a ton of games I missed, and on my operating system of choice of course. It doesn't bother me if games use DOSBox, as we are counted as a Linux sale (the most important thing!), and it works great.

Looks Like The 'Darksiders' Linux Port Hasn't Been Forgotten

SteamOS Moving to Debian 8 Jessie Soon? Unlikely, but Not Impossible
SteamOS is a Linux distribution built by Valve that will eventually power the Steam Machines consoles. It's based on Debian 7.x "Wheezy" and there is no sign that Valve has any intention of moving to the new Debian 8 "Jessie" base anytime soon.

Samsung, Red Hat to Work on Linux Drivers for Future TechThe metaverse is expected to uproot system design as we know it, and Samsung is one of many hardware vendors re-imagining data center infrastructure in preparation for a parallel 3D world. Samsung is working on new memory technologies that provide faster bandwidth inside hardware for data to travel between CPUs, storage and other computing resources. The company also announced it was partnering with Red Hat to ensure these technologies have Linux compatibility. |
