The SCO Group Inc.'s net loss for the fiscal second quarter more than doubled from a year ago, hampered by litigation expenses that totaled nearly $3.8 million in the quarter.
The company said Thursday that the loss for the quarter ending April 30 was nearly $4.7 million, or 22 cents per share. That compares with a net loss of nearly $2 million, or 11 cents per share, for the same quarter a year ago. Revenue was down to $7.1 million from $9.3 million a year earlier.
Contributing to the net loss were the legal and other expenses associated with the company's ongoing intellectual property litigation against International Business Machines Corp.
