Given the slow rate of change for both GNOME and KDE user interfaces, I didn't think this would be the case - at least not with Ubuntu 11.10. A version or two down the track, maybe, but not just six months after Canonical released 11.04 with its own salvo into the interface war with Unity - an innovation that divided Ubuntu users.
But after some hands on time with the latest Ubuntu, I could be wrong. While it's not a revolution, it is an evolution and it's shaping up to be quite the impressive new kitty on the block.
