Mandriva Integrating Music Service
Mandriva is integrating The Kompany's Mindawn into their Mandriva 2006 distribution. Mindawn is an online music purchasing service mainly stocked by self publish and small indie labels that offers downloads in the Ogg and Flac audio formats.
At 99 cents per 10 minutes of Ogg compressed download, Mindawn appears to be one of the cheapest audio services available. On the flip side, it doesn't appear to have any of the larger indie labels on board.
Mandriva 2006 to be the first Linux Desktop to offer built-in online
music service feature through Mindawn.
