Take Part In The Mandriva Club Contest And Spread The New Mandriva Name!
On the occasion of adopting its new name, the Mandriva Club is launching a contest to accelerate the spread and the recognition of the Mandriva brand name, by using it in as many places as possible.
Contest: submit your ideas for helping the dissemination of the names "Mandriva", "Mandriva Linux", "Mandriva Club". Example: graphic theme contest promoting the new name, with the winning themes to be included in the Mandriva Linux 2006 Edition.
Ideas must be submitted by email, by Standard, Silver, or Gold members, to mailto:webmaster@mandrakeclub.com with subject "Mandriva Name Adoption Contest", before the 14th of April, 2005.
Prizes
1st prize: An HP notebook with Mandriva Linux
2nd prize: a GlobeTrotter
3rd prize : Mandriva Move+USB key 128 MB
4th-10th prize: Three months extension to your Mandriva Club membership
I guess my alumni status doesn't get my access to the comments, but it's been reported on one of the mailing lists that many want to cancel their memberships due to the name change. This is apparently because of the connotations in English and French.
