Bodhi, a cool little distro!
The other day I stumbled upon a new distro called Bodhi. The website claims that Bodhi is a minimalistic OS (based on Ubuntu) using the enlightened desktop. I have never had luck using the Enlightment desktop, but I really wanted to try this distro.
One of the first things I noticed about Bodhi was its small size. Bodhi is around a 400 mb download, which is small for a Ubuntu based distro. The reason for being so small, well it really only has three applications. When you download Bodhi all you really get is Firefox, a file manager, & a terminal application. The rest of the OS consists of Ubuntu and the pieces to the Enlightenment desktop. Once the download finished I was able to install Bodhi to a USB flash drive using Unetbootin. For some reason when I tried using the Ubuntu USB creator it didn't boot correctly.
The boot time on this distro is really impressive.
