Pioneers – a strategy board game for Ubuntu
Pioneers is an open source clone of The Settlers of Catan board game. These rules are for the standard game without expansions (for extra players, board tiles and pieces).
The aim of this game is to attain a set number of victory points (determined by the size of the board). This is achieved by either the building of settlements, roads and cities or through specific development cards. In the image below is one iteration of what the board may look like, although there are many shapes and sizes.
