Linux - you've come a long way baby
I work in a small mom and pop computer store. I fix up older systems and install linux, then resell. I’ve put quite a few people on the path to open software and the freedoms of linux. I try to keep in contact with a few of my linux customers, because unlike my windows customers, who I see often- I seldom see my linux people again.
I have two strong users that have been using my ubuntu spin for 2-3 years now and I sometimes use them as “guini pig’s” when i test a new distro. recently I liked what i saw when i downloaded pepermint Ice, and it ran pretty good on older hardware, so I thought I might switch from puppy, and start using it for my older computers. I installed Peppermint Ice on my guini pig's computers and asked them to try it for a week and let me know what they thought. And after the week was up I would reinstall my buntu spin if they liked. Here is some of the report I got back - Just thought I’d share some of it with you.
