under the weather
You may have noticed the lack of updates to the site past few days, and along with my apologies comes the explanation that I've been very ill.
It really started Wednesday, but Thursday I was asleep most all day - except when the lights went out for a few minutes. I forced myself up to get the site back online. Used to when I had DSL I could count on my server getting back online on its own, but now with cable, it just won't get a lease when my startup script runs. It won't get one until I unplug/replug the cable box and run dhclient manually. I don't know why. So, it's a pain every time the lights go out.
Friday I was awake, but still in bed. I'm up today, but still wanting to be in bed. And my Linux Format column is due Monday and I ain't even started it. I may have to ask for another day or two to get that in.
Anyway, it's always a bit slow on the weekends, but we should be back to normal by Monday. My apologies to folks that depend on me to get their Linux and OSS news fix. Hopefully LinuxToday and Lxer filled the gap adequately.
