SimplyMEPIS 8.0.12 Maintenance Release Available
This should be a main news item not stuck in todays leftovers. I swear. They get no respect...no respect at all.
re: simplymepis
Well, the release announcement was rather short on details and it was released just a couple of hours ago. But it's at the beginning of the list ain't it?
I'm waiting for 8.5 with KDE 4 really anyway. Can't wait to test theirs. Although, Mandriva's giving a hell of a showing here. 2010 is kicking some Linux ass! ...well, at least here on my hardware. Too bad they fscked up my poll.
SimplyMepis KDE4
I am also waiting for the KDE4 release of SimplyMepis. I really like Debian but for a new user, SimplyMepis does some great things.
Too bad Debian isn't easier to remaster; then the *buntus could have some good competition. As it is, Debian is a great distro but needs some *nix knowledge to get started, especially if you don't want the Debian default desktop, GNOME.
