Gordon's Adventures with Ubuntu - Part 1
On Thursday night I downloaded and installed Linux on my laptop. My son suggested that Ubuntu would be a good option as her reckopns it is probably the implementation that is most complete. As it says on the website - "Linux for humans".
That has been my experience so much and is a whole lot easier than the last time I tried to do anything with Linux. The installation was very straight forward although I made a silly mistake at that point which I haven't yet worked out how to undo. I still wanted to use MS Vista on my laptop for a variety of things including Photoshop so I went for a dual boot. That was fine except that I went for the default partition size which was ridiculuously small.
