Google Chrome 3.0 Sees Stable Release
In a belated celebration of Google Chrome's first birthday, the Google Chrome team Sept. 15 released a new stable build of the Web browser that boasts the speed bumps and features the company introduced in its 3.0.195.4 beta release last month.
Google Chrome marks the search engine giant's major entry into the competitive Web browser market versus Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari.
Chrome has seen a fast-slow-fast start since its launch in September 2008. The browser grabbed one percent of the browser market within a week, but stalled around two percent for several months.
In recent months, thanks to faster innovation, word-of-mouth and buzz about the company's forthcoming Chrome Operating System, new life has been breathed into Chrome.
