Open source "touch book" shipping worldwide
If you are the type who shuns Windows and wants only alternative OS' on your netbook like Linux or Android, but you don’t want to wait until the Acer dual-boot netbook hits, a company called Always Innovating has a new open source netbook for you. The machine is called the Touch Book and international orders are being accepted.
The company has announced that orders are now shipping, but the caveat to that is that the backlog of orders is large, according to the maker. The other catch to the system is that the open source OS is that the first batch of machines is being shipped with beta software. AI says that means that problems may arise with the OS, but it will be there for support.
