Linux distros come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, but the one thing that is pretty consistent through all of them are the applications you can use. Out of the hundreds and hundreds of available apps in the Linux universe, here are 5 that no self respecting Linux user should ever be caught without.
Firefox - This is the darling of the web browsers, and it comes preinstalled on many distros. There are oodles of add-ons available to increase the functionality of this browser, and you can change it’s look with any of the many themes up for grabs. It’s OK to use Konqueror, Epiphany or Opera, but you just have to have this browser available as well.
