http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/texstar/pclinuxos/live-cd/english/preview/
Please note this is not a final release iso. We will not answer support questions concerning this test release. Feedback however can be sent to pclinuxos-dev at sbcglobal.net.
PCLinuxOS .92 features an updated 2.6.12-oci5 kernel, hotplug has been moved to udev to provide faster boot times. The fabulous kde has been updated to verison 3.4.3. Koffice replaces Openoffice on the livecd. Openoffice 2.0 can be installed after a hard drive install. xorg has been updated to xorg.cvs. Approx 400 package update brings PCLinuxOS .92 up to date with the latest open source applications.
Mklivecd features many improvements such as preloading sata modules for those who have cdrom drives that require a sata driver. Hopefully this will fix those who have Dell laptops that could not find the boot image. Hwdetect has been reworked and provides new routines for hardware detection. For those who
have had video/monitor detection issues in the past may want to try the alternative livecd xauto command at the boot prompt. While the boot process will be slower, the detection may work better than our standard video/monitor routine. Ivan has some other additions to mklivecd he may want to announce later.
Known issues:
Kernel-2.6.12-oci5 to be replaced with 2.6.12-oci6 to fix a small problem when accessing sys data. mkusbhome to be added back to livecd once Alex completes his updates this weekend. ipw2100 and ipw2000 do not work with wep. You may also need to pass irqpoll at the boot prompt for ipw2100/2200. Keyboard defaults to (us) regardless of what is typed at the command prompt. Wacom tablets do not work with our xorg.cvs at this time.
