Screenshots of Flock
I've posted some screenshots of Flock 0.4.9 in the gallery if anyone is interested. It is said to be based upon Mozilla and it's quite evident by looking. Althought I have noticed a few additional features and a really cool theme (icons, progress bar, etc), it basically looks like firefox.
There's that cool "star" feature which appears to be a one click bookmarking tool. It has a choice of search engins in the toolbar, chosen from a dropdown list. It has a rssview, that shows what a rss supported site looks like perhaps as a rss feed. I noticed flickr and del.ico.us extentions in the configuration. Some other early extentions include enhanced google search and adblock (although instead of installing it, it downloaded and rendered the code in a broswer window). One of the nicest features is the "Create a blog post" option. From there one enters their url and the post, and Flock will upload it. However it won't work on Tuxmachines because I disabled that option for security reasons. The fonts look good as well.
I've not been using it too long, but it seems stable so far. I uploaded those screenshots with it and I am now posting with it as well. These are usually pretty good tests for a browser. So, although to me it looks like a mozilla/firefox clone, I've read there's quite a bit of original work under the hood. All in all, it seems fairly neato at this point.

Nice Browser
I've been playing with this browser all evening and it is pretty slick. I'm going to rpm it for the pclinuxos users to install from Synaptic.
re: Nice browser
Yeah, I'm really liking it. I like firefox but primarily use konqueror. But I really like the way sites render in Flock. I love the fonts. I changed them slightly in the preferences to get the look I want, but they render really well. I've played around some more with it and put up a few more shots. One of the nicest things I've noticed so far is that after installing an plugin, it becomes available immediately. It doesn't require a restart like many other browsers. The more I use it, the better I like it.

Tested
I tested some of the plugins such as flash and some foxnews videos and the plugins seem to work quite well.
re: tested
Yep! I made me a menu entry and replaced one of the three konqueror icons on my desktop (one was an empty browser, the other two open at specific sites) with one for flock. Point being: I rarely go to that trouble for any app, so I must be impressed.
Of course I guess you do this automagically in PCLOS.

Yes
The pclos rpm I added to synaptic automatically puts Flock in the menu and I worked up a post script to check for existing plugins and to symlink them into the flock plugin folder so they are avaliable to flock when the browser is launched.
It's a snap with Synaptic
LOL, no sooner had I downloaded and installed the source for Flock, then I just happen to be in Synaptic looking for updates and behold there's Flock! Thanks Texstar for keeping PCLinuxOS on the cutting edge!
Much obliged!
