Life without walls.
Life without walls is the title of microsoft's new advertising campaign. It is yet another example of microsoft taking someone else's idea and trying to claim it as their own. This has put me in rant mode because for a long time there has been a quote floating around in the Linux camp. It goes like this "In a world without walls. Who needs windows and gates?"
Now microsoft has the chutzpah to try and push their product as a breaking down of barriers? I have one thing to say to that. Without walls there can be no windows. That statement can be taken in many different ways.
According to Joe Wilcox who wrote an article at microsoft watch. The new windows advertising campaign is "reasonably right" I call it totally wrong.
Actually even in one of windows advertisement there is a subliminal Linux reference where they use a bunch of penguins. It just goes to show how much they feel threatened by software that is written by a bunch of amateur hackers
