How-To keep busy : Ten things to do this summer

1. One of the first things you should do this summer is join a nice Free & Open Source Software community. Personally I'm joining a very interesting project called SourceMage Linux, there I hope to help with their packaging and bash scripting. They have a great community! You can find out more about them at www.sourcemage.org
2. Attached to working on a FOSS project you need to be in a FOSS community, these can be either a Linux User Group or forums or a mailing list etc. Try and help new users out too!

Samsung, Red Hat to Work on Linux Drivers for Future TechThe metaverse is expected to uproot system design as we know it, and Samsung is one of many hardware vendors re-imagining data center infrastructure in preparation for a parallel 3D world. Samsung is working on new memory technologies that provide faster bandwidth inside hardware for data to travel between CPUs, storage and other computing resources. The company also announced it was partnering with Red Hat to ensure these technologies have Linux compatibility. |
