Ubuntu not good enough?!
In response to Ubuntu Gutsy on My Laptop: Not Winning My Heart:
Sorry, John, your arguments are ridiculous.
Wifi setup is horrible
Wrong. It is easy, simple and attractive.
Network Manager is capable of connecting you to wired and wireless networks. I tried it with all sorts of domestic/airport/hotel/T1 networks and as long they were standards-compliant, I had a good connection.
(It only took me 10 minutes to find a solution for my wireless problems for Dell XPS 1330 at Ubuntu Forums and 5 minutes to replace the module ipw3945 with module iwl3945 for much better performance and reliability)
It’s interface is quite good - besides, you just set it and forget.
