Wow! Red Hat can sling some mud!
I woke up early this morning to catch an early flight out… and thought I’d check my email. What did I find, but this headline: “Red Hat exec says Novell sells beta code” which is a ZDnet UK blog entry.
So, first of all — I don’t have first hand knowledge of what was said, or what was not said by the Red Hat executive to the blog author. But, let’s dabble in the hypothetical for a moment by way of analogy. Just hear me out on this…
It’s the holiday season in the Americas and that means people are buying gifts for their friends and family in celebration. All the while, retailers seem to offer special “limited-time” sales which offer you seemingly better and better pricing as the holiday season approaches. To get the “best price” should you buy your gift on black Friday? mid-December? Christmas Eve? How about early November? or why not wait until after Dec 25 and take advantage of clearance sales?
The point is, there’s a trade-off to be had.
