Date set for proposed AMD-Intel case consolidation
AS WE'VE REPORTED previously, a multitude of antitrust cases against Intel were filed by individuals on the back of AMD's original complaint.
A judicial panel on multidistrict litigation will meet on the 29th of September to consider transferring the different cases filed as class actions by individuals and small companies, to the same jurisdiction as the original AMD-Intel complaint.
Many of the filings by individuals against Intel are carbon copies of the original AMD complaint. So if the panel agrees, they will all be considered as one case, thus going some way towards simplifying the whole legal process.
