Got new hardware? Linux makes it easy.
I have been using the same computer for over seven years. I know that this sort of thing doesn't become a Borg like me but that is just how it is. To rectify this situation I have been slowly, piece by piece, assimilating components to create a new Locutus that will be more than just a bitzer but a new version of itself.
So this weekend I busied myself with creating a new Borg to replace the aging and long past retirement PIII 733MHz workhorse that has served me so faithfully and still manages to out speed a PIV with windows on it. I put all the parts together and, feeling a bit like Doctor Frankenstein, I switched on the electricity.
It came alive with a whir of multiple cooling fans and the cooling fluid coursed through the gladiator helmet of the hybrid cooling system and, after setting the correct video driver, I was presented exactly what I had before. The same soul in a different body.
