In a press conference held earlier today Intel CEO Paul Otellini said, "Intel competes aggressively and fairly around the world. This formula has led to Intel's success and it will not change. ... We unequivocally disagree with AMD's claims and are confident this latest suit, like the others, will be resolved favorably for Intel."
Intel may be right about that as witnesses to testify against them and their tactics are few and far between. Fear of retaliation in the forms of price hikes, supply cutbacks or loss of significant incentives has made the search for allies an uphill battle for underdog AMD. AMD has had to resort to subpoena to get witnesses and stop evidence from being destroyed.
After his prepared statement, Otellini declined to answer questions about the lawsuits.
