The KDE 3.5 Control Center - Part 5 - Peripherals
Welcome to part 5 of our series on the KDE 3.5 Control Center. Today we'll be covering the Peripherals section of the Control Center, an area that controls all your most important external add on devices, such as your monitor, printer, keyboard and more. Let's look at each of these sections and get a good idea of what each does and how it affects your user experience.
The Display subsection covers the way KDE interacts with your monitor, the resolution it displays at, gamma correction and power control. Under the first tab is a series of options to change the way your desktop is displayed. On the first line you'll see an option titled "Settings for screen" next to which is a dropdown menu that's grayed out. Since I only use one video card and one monitor, that's all I'm going to see. If you use more than one, you'll be able to select the individual settings for each desktop simply by selecting which "screen" you want to change them for. ...
Desktop stretching involves a rather unique feature of KDE.

Samsung, Red Hat to Work on Linux Drivers for Future TechThe metaverse is expected to uproot system design as we know it, and Samsung is one of many hardware vendors re-imagining data center infrastructure in preparation for a parallel 3D world.
