Our beliefs cloud our judjment.
Everybody has their "favourite" operating system. That's fine, in fact that's good. Everybody should have an operating system to champion. What is not good is when we allow our beliefs to blind us to the real facts of our chosen package of ones and zeros.
As most of you know my chosen operating system is Linux. I like it, I am comfortable with it. I promote it when ever I can. I believe that Linux in one form or another can do any computing task on the planet both now and in the future. As you just read I am not afraid to say that either.

Samsung, Red Hat to Work on Linux Drivers for Future TechThe metaverse is expected to uproot system design as we know it, and Samsung is one of many hardware vendors re-imagining data center infrastructure in preparation for a parallel 3D world. Samsung is working on new memory technologies that provide faster bandwidth inside hardware for data to travel between CPUs, storage and other computing resources. The company also announced it was partnering with Red Hat to ensure these technologies have Linux compatibility. |
