A conversation that I had yesterday has reminded me of the Ubuntu Code of Conduct and what we try to stand for as an Ubuntu community. Any Ubuntu Member (official) is required to sign this article before they can be approved for membership and it should be a reminder of the ideals we’re trying to live by.
The community (those not yet official members) should try to live by this standard as well. For those unfamiliar with the Code of Conduct I wanted to share it here.
- Be considerate. Your work will be used by other people, and you in turn will depend on the work of others. Any decision you take will affect users and colleagues, and we expect you to take those consequences into account when making decisions.
- Be respectful.
