Tex says Pre-9 close
Tex told his close knit circle of developers and testers that he thinks the long-awaited Pre-9 release is about ready. I thought it was still to be kept under-wraps, but I saw where he mentioned it was close on his forums. So, I guess for the few visitors I have that haven't actually seen his post on his site, I guess there's no harm in announcing it's getting close.
Tex says, "It is as close to final as it is going to get for this release. It still is considered beta software as I want to address the lcd monitor issue, zip drive & floppy mounting, as well as getting the removable media squared away without me having to preset the apps and manually symlink cdrom to cdrom0 and dvd to dvd0."
So, even when Pre-9 goes gold, there will still be no rest for weary - tho we are hoping for a vacation.
Don't miss my Sneak Peek at Pre-9.
