Enable or Disable Auto Login in Suse Linux
Suse Linux has an amazing set of graphical administration tools that let you perform virtually any system administration task without having to use a command line. The only problem is that there are just so many settings, it’s easy for new users to get lost.
To get to this setting, click that green Suse “start” button, and type in user management into the search box, and select the highlighted option below.

If you’ve installed Suse using the CD/DVD installation, the default setting is for software installations to load from the cdrom instead of off the internet repositories. Since I’m always connected directly to the internet, I’d much prefer to download and install from the net.
To start off, you need to launch YaST. You can use the menu, or you can type in the following into an Alt+F2 prompt:
Configure Suse to Use Internet Repositories Instead of CD/DVD
