Some British companies are still willing to send out large numbers of unsolicited text messages -- despite such practices being illegal.
For example, a Sky News investigation found that Telecom One Ltd., which runs two satellite television dating channels and provides downloads for mobile phones, was willing to send out 2 million unsolicited texts for about $90,000, and was not worried about the law, the network reported Thursday.
When asked about the venture`s legality, the Telecom One director who agreed to the deal said the activity was merely "bending the law."
