64-bit AMD Far Cry available
CRYTEK AND AMD said that the 64-bit version of Far Cry, optimised for its CPUs, is now available.
According to AMD, this version was built on AMD64 machines and features enhancements for this processor family.
What does the 64-bit version bring you? According to AMD there are larger and more detailed areas to explore, 64-bit maps, longer view distances, and a 64-bit "barrel storage area".
Patches to enable the 64-bit version of Far Cry are available on AMD's site, and can be downloaded there for owners of the 32-bit version who also have Windows XP Professional X64. µ
