TransGaming’s Cider Brings PC Games to the Mac (and Linux?)
"No longer will Mac users be forced to wait months or years for the few top tier titles to get into their hands." Writes Transgaming, when they unveiled their latest product, named Cider, which is more or less a fork of Cedega for the game developres on the Intel/Mac OS X platform. Almost immediatly it seems at least one person has something to say about this piece of news.
Though, there is no mention that the money that subscribers have been streaming over to TG have been used solely for funding Cider, he does make it clear that he believes it's likely TG will take Cedega that has WINE derived code, "move on to MacOS X, and never look back."
Another great benefit is that games migrated to Intel Mac using Cider will also run on Linux under Cedega, forging a path to another game hungry market.
