M$ Plans more Secure Browser
This story has been all over the internet, and one can't seem to click a newsite anywhere without seeing it. Seems microsoft has changed it's mind in it's previous announcement of not offering an upgrade/update to it's browser until the release of it's new Windows version in last 2006 or 2007.
"Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates announced at the RSA Conference in San Francisco on Tuesday that Microsoft will deliver Internet Explorer 7.0 for Windows XP Service Pack 2 customers." This is a little different stance as well considering their IE offerings have previously been so tightly integrated into their operating system that they could not be separated. Here's another interesting article on the subject that also touches on another story circulating this morning, the fact that M$ will include anti-spyware and antivirus tools with it's new products. While having his menions denounce Linux security, which we all know is intrinsically built into the design, Gates seems to be jumping into the spotlight playing up his offerings revamped security features by buying out or licensing then including extra resource hungry software. You know what they say in Hollywood, 'any publicity is good' and seems Gates is subscribing as well as borrowing some techniques of light and illusion from David Copperfield.
