Pia Waugh is not afraid to take control, she is passionate about technology and her work, writes Cynthia Karena.
PIA Waugh finds kung fu fight tactics a handy tool in the business world.
"Kung-fu prepares you for thinking strategically rather than reacting. I've learned to be the master of the first stroke and to take control of any situation," says Ms Waugh, who six months ago founded an open source consultancy business, Waugh Partners.
You can't fight to the best of your abilities if you impose limits on yourself, says the 26-year-old. Likewise in business, "anything is possible. You can't dream too big. Aim high, never stagnate."
Ms Waugh admires her kung fu teachers, who are "clear in how they see and understand a situation.
