Amazon’s Fire TV could scorch rivals
The Fire TV runs an Android-based operating system, of course. Amazon is using Mojito, which is version 3.0 of its Kindle Fire OS. As with the other Fire devices, you will not be able to access apps and games from the Google Play store. The Fire TV will be limited to Amazon’s app store only. While this is regrettable, I doubt that it really matter to the casual living room market that the Fire TV is aiming to penetrate.
