Red Hat building's top has some seeing red
Raleigh's skyline got a bold new splash of color this month, and it has some people in downtown buzzing.
Software company Red Hat unveiled a bright red sign atop its Wilmington Street high-rise building. However, the reviews range from great to downright ugly.
Dale Gibson, the managing editor at the Triangle Business Journal, wrote that the color choice makes it look like someone plopped a big box of cereal downtown.
"I immediately though 'Well that looks out of place,'" said Gibson. "In my opinion, and this is just my opinion, art is in the eye of the beholder."
