Red Hat names former Microsoft exec virtualization chief

Red Hat announced that a former Microsoft executive, Radhesh Balakrishnan, will lead its virtualization efforts. Balakrishnan will oversee Red Hat's OpenStack and enterprise virtualization technologies.

The open source software provider has been layering cloud and virtualization technologies in most of its products such as its Red Hat Enterprise Linux as well as its infrastructure as a service products based on OpenStack.
