Is it too much to ask...

I recall, dimly, the days of yore when actual un-biased Linux centrist forums were around and people respected that Linux was the central figure and went out of their way to post in words that described personal views as personal views and didn't try to hyperbolize and generalize.
I long for a place, a forum where all distros take their rightful place, equal members underneath the GNU/Linux flag.
maybe those days really are gone and the schoolgirl crush, gushing fanboys have won the forum battles.
I can't give up hope. Someday, I will find that forum.

and then?
Weiner!!!
And?
As I recall, you referred to me as a dumb-ass for "possibly scaring away potential donors" to srlinuxx's fine site. Are you doing any better?
By the way, you should check the spelling of "winner".
Lack of civility
@Big Bear:
Unfortunately, blogs and forums have followed the lack of civility rampant in our U.S. media and other places on the Internet, especially since the advent of social media on the Internet and texting on cell phones.
Short messages which can be spun off in seconds show the lack of thought. All of the drivel will be preserved for years if not decades, but people give more thought to what they say to one another face to face than what they text or tweet.
The Winnar!!!!!
And this months "Time Traveler Award" for resurrecting a thread from history goes to CWSNYDER.
Good Job, and welcome to the 21st century.
