Miro Internet TV 2.5 Preview
Miro is an open source program developed to deliver high quality Internet TV, and is trying to capture a large portion of the Internet TV market. Miro is developed completely in an open and free platform and is not controlled by any content providers or advertising revenue. Miro also has a video player which can play virtually any video files such as WMV, QuickTime, MPEG, AVI, XVID, and many more. With Miro you can easily organize your music and browse your music collection. You can download and save videos from video sites like Google Video and YouTube or watch thousands of channels for free with Miro.

The soon to be released Miro 2.5 has some serious improvements in speed and memory. The reason behind this was the change made to the database. Automatic database backups before upgrading have been implemented to make the testing less risky.
