Listening to XM Radio on Linux
I love my XM radio, yes you have to pay for it but I’m a big fan of the content. Another nice feature is that XM streams most channels on the Internet. When I first started XM if you where a Linux user you where just plane out of luck. Then about a year ago they changed the interface and Linux users finally where able to use this service (hey XM how about advertising this). However, you still had to use the browser interface and if you’re like me I kept closing all my Firefox tabs and “blip” no more music.

Samsung, Red Hat to Work on Linux Drivers for Future TechThe metaverse is expected to uproot system design as we know it, and Samsung is one of many hardware vendors re-imagining data center infrastructure in preparation for a parallel 3D world. Samsung is working on new memory technologies that provide faster bandwidth inside hardware for data to travel between CPUs, storage and other computing resources. The company also announced it was partnering with Red Hat to ensure these technologies have Linux compatibility. |
