How broken is Firefox 3.0
I thought it was me, but there are several reports of Firefox/Iceweasel 3.0 bugs, including missing images, right after they were loaded!
I have personally experienced missing images in Firefox 3.0: the images would show while loading, then they suddenly disappear once completely retrieved! I can't remember the platform (OS/distro) where I encountered that, but it was one of the reasons I dropped Firefox 3.0 for Firefox 2.0.0.15.
Recently, I was warned that even my blog (as well as other sites) has missing images if rendered by Iceweasel 3.0 under Parsix 1.5, whereas Opera (in the same Parsix) and Firefox 2.0.0.14 or 2.0.0.15 (in Frugalware) don't have any rendering problems on the same computer!
Now I know it's a real problem, not an illusion of mine.

S3 vs. ATI vs. Nvidia ? True video vs. speed vs. fancy video ?
Vis(Taiwan) still does S3 video, but it is fading away.
ATI is famous for speed, but they have problems with operating systems and their drivers.
Nvidia has many fancy video additions in their drivers. some we don't need, and some we can not get rid of?
For cellphone form factor(cellphone with mainframe computer server with multi cpu cores matrix switching for USB video, audio and camera or movies/DTV, internet apps, etc.;. we like video compression oriented display(mpeg4/h.264) layout and zoom rendering approaches. Wait till next year, when Apple iphone and Google Android will have some competition?
