As you might remember from my previous piece on gOS, some people have felt like the current gOS offering provided on Everex machines were simply not good enough for casual use. In this piece, I take it even further, with a full review on gOS' overall usability.

Issues With Installation. One thing that I’m not going to attribute to anything other than bad luck is the crashing during the installation of the distro. It's unfortunate, as the bulk of the review will have to be done from the Live CD, but that should give us some insight into the OS nonetheless.

Way Too Much Going On. In a number of areas, I cannot help but feel like there is too much going on with gOS. It just feels "busy" for lack of a better description. Gadgets by default, an OS X-like dock that has applications swaying from left to right, then back again. And whatever you do, be careful in clicking with either mouse button - doing so will leave you longing for another desktop environment.

It should be noted that I have noting against Enlightenment as a desktop environment. However, expecting people to have a clue about the "leaf" is a little much. It cannot truly be seen as making any more sense than clicking on a "Start" button to stop a PC. It's madness.
