Dear Distros: Embrace USB Installs!!!
A while ago I purchased a new laptop. I carry it everywhere, and I've had several lead bricks in the past, so I opted for something small and light. The Fujitsu T2010 has been one of the best electronic gadgets I have ever owned. I have not regretted my choice for a second, which is odd for me.
BUT, it has no optical drive. I hate disposable things. I hate unnecessary printing. I hate disposable cutlery and dishes. And I hate CD-Rs. In the age of USB hard drives and USB flash drives, why are CD/DVDs neceassary anyway? (See Macbook Air.)
Neither of my favorite distros runs 100% on it though, so I keep switching between them. Neither is embracing non-CD installs.
