Shuttle to release sub-$200 Linux box

target $100 desktop computer :? Design concept ?

Mini $5 cpu(no chipset apple mainframe architecture design without scsi) motherboard with USB connectors, USB 7 inch LCD monitor, USB DVD/rw, and USB 1" hdd make up the computer with USB keyboard and mouse.

The concept is fewer parts, power supplied thru USB 5 volt source on motherboard via ac adaptor. HDD virtual dynamic memory is cheap.

Cpu is designed with large L1/L2 cache, FPU and ALU only; no chipset no drams. All computer components are USB driven. Hotpluged for maximum speed of serial data transmission. DVD/RW can be an option?

This concept will cut out much of the x86 features of a computer terminal. It will just be a mainframe computer with USB console.
