Samsung, Red Hat to Work on Linux Drivers for Future TechThe metaverse is expected to uproot system design as we know it, and Samsung is one of many hardware vendors re-imagining data center infrastructure in preparation for a parallel 3D world. Samsung is working on new memory technologies that provide faster bandwidth inside hardware for data to travel between CPUs, storage and other computing resources. olpcnews.com
Susan,
Just so that you're aware, www.olpcnews.com is an anti-OLPC site according to some source, who also say it's possibly a bait from Intel and Microsoft (astroturf blogging)..
re: "some source"
If you don't have proof, why are you presenting such gossip? You're as much a "baiter" as your theorized Intel or Microsoft.
In that light, I have a source that says he knows someone that talked with someone who had a email from a very reliable source that told his neighbor at a very well known sledding hill that all Unoobtu users have an IQ of a retarded Spider Monkey (I think I also might have seen that story on either FOX or NHK news), so I guess with all those facts it must be true.
However . . .
After reading some of the articles and postings at the site, I think Schestowitz's third cousin's aunt's boyfriend might be right on this one. The site definitely has that Intel/Microsoft stink about it--either that or those posting at the site genuinely want to take a taste of the I/M drug.
You are what you preach
I saw the postings myself, not just told by others who are highly familiar with the OLPC story. They also slag off other Linux items like the Eee PC's Linux (they cited me on Xandros UI and 'patent tax').
This site might be like IP-Wars, possibly backed by SCO. It'll have to change its way to earn confidence.
