NVIDIA driver 169.07 with fan bug
In many forums linux users complain about an odd and nagging bug in the actual NVIDIA gpu driver: While 169.04 BETA worked fine, after installing 169.07 the fan of the graphics board stays at max speed (and max noise) all the time.
The problem is being addressed by nvidia already:
